Lorraine Frances Sorrentino, 69 passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence on January 17, 2023. Lorraine was born on October 4, 1953, in Poughkeepsie, New York to Frank and Gloria Parker Sorrentino. Lorraine is survived by the love of her life, her daughter, Frankie; Lorraine’s sister, Gloria Fiore and brother, Robert Sorrentino, nieces and nephews. Nicole, Joseph & Antoinette, Krista, Justin & Jade, Gae, Jonathan & Colby and several great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her brother, Arthur Osterhoudt and sister-in-law, Gaye Sorrentino. Lorraine owned and operated For Your Nails Only Salon in Poughkeepsie, New York then Lorraine pursued Elder Care after lovingly caring for her mother for many years.
Lorraine showed compassion toward her clients. Anyone who knew Lorraine would agree that her hair and nails were always to perfection. She was trendy and stylish. Loved 70’s music and Disco dancing, including The Hustle. She had a great sense of humor and loved to play practical jokes. Lorraine loved her family above all else and had a great love for her pets.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 28th from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603with a Blessing at 11:30 am.
