Phyllis Mae Mohrmann, 86, passed away on May 11, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. She was born on
March 1, 1937, in Poughkeepsie, New York, to her beloved parents William and Lillian (Place) Robinson.
Phyllis married John “Jack” Mohrmann on January 3, 1958. Jack predeceased her. Phyllis and Jack loved
to play golf, cards, travel, and enjoyed Southern Comfort Manhattans. Phyllis loved to cook, share her
baked goods with everyone, and mark the first years hummingbird on her calendar.
Phyllis was predeceased by both of her parents and her sister Sandra Martin. She is survived by her
sisters Florence Backman (Gilbertsville), Margaret Sleight (Poughkeepsie), and Doris Cashin (North
Carolina). Her children Michael Mohrmann (Poughkeepsie), Nadine Millard (Clinton Corners), Scott
Mohrmann and his wife Tracy (Poughkeepsie); her loving grandchildren Amber Millard-Di Palo and her
husband Keith (Rhinebeck), Ryan Millard and his wife Jessica (Poughkeepsie); Tara Millard; and Stephan
Mohrmann. Phyllis thoroughly enjoyed visiting with her great grandchildren Griffin, Jace, Lexi, Lucas, and
Kennedy. She was a loving Aunt and Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
At the request of Phyllis there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the
SPCA to celebrate Phyllis’s love for cats. Arrangments have been made under the supervision of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home.
