Obituary of Mary M. Ranalli

Mary M. Ranalli, 89, of the Town of Poughkeepsie died Friday, February 24, 2023 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie after a brief illness.
Born in Poughkeepsie on November 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Caruso DeBellis.
Mary was a local resident all of her life; she was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
On October 4, 1958 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mary married the love of her life, Thomas L. Ranalli. He predeceased her in 2018.
After working at the Grand Union and IBM, she became a homemaker, a role she enjoyed for the rest of her life.
Mary is survived by her two children, Thomas V. Ranalli and his wife Lee Ann of Buckeye, Arizona, and Julie A. Lucia of Poughkeepsie, New York; her three grandchildren Daniel T. Lucia and his wife, Brianna Penney Lucia, Anthony L. Lucia, and Christopher T. Lucia; her step-grandson Nicholas H. Moody; her sister Gloria Ossolinski of Poughkeepsie; her brothers Thomas DeBellis and his wife Carole DeBellis of Lagrangeville, New York, and Robert DeBellis and his wife Marie Debellis of Raleigh, North Carolina. She’s also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Three siblings predeceased her: Michael DeBellis of Fontana, California;  Antoinette Lattanzio and Lonnie DeBellis of Poughkeepsie, New York.
Calling hours will be held on February 28, 2023, from 4pm to 7pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral home, 373 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Mount Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow at the Mausoleum at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations in Mary’s name be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105 or to Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Ave, Poughkeepsie, New York, 12601.
